When a company supports a French public-interest non-profit, with money or with its employees’ time, it expects a tax receipt. The non-profit issues it, on the official CERFA form no. 16216. KelpFund takes the formatting off its hands, not its responsibility.
A fiscal identity entered once
In Organisation › Finances, the non-profit enters its fiscal identity once: type of body, address, purpose. It is then printed on every receipt. Its signatory records their signature in the same place.
Receipts prepared from what happened
A payment made by the funder, or approved skills-based giving time, prepares a receipt: amount, date, nature of the gift. The non-profit reviews and signs it online; the receipt is then numbered, sealed and downloadable as a PDF by both parties.
A register for the annual declaration
Every receipt issued enters the year’s register, exportable as CSV. A cancelled receipt keeps its number: the sequence stays continuous, as expected of an accounting record.
What remains your decision
Whether the non-profit qualifies for the sponsorship tax scheme is not decided by software. KelpFund fills and archives the receipt; checking that your organisation may issue it remains your responsibility, with your accountant if needed.
